MEET KATRINA

Katrina Pierson is a dynamic conservative

leader who has inspired grassroots activists throughout the nation for over a decade. She burst on the national stage on April 15th, 2009, when her inspiring speech at the Dallas Tea Party rally went viral. Her passion and ability to advocate for conservative principles in a compelling way led to frequent appearances on the Fox News Channel, CNN, MSNBC, Newsmax, and across all global news networks. After years of workinghard to advance conservative causes, Katrina stepped up to serve as national spokesperson for President Trumps’s 2016 campaign, earning a reputation for vigorously promoting his conservative policies on issues such as border security, illegal immigration, gun rights, religious liberty, and election integrity.

In 2020, Katrina had the opportunity to engage in a project dear to her heart when she was tapped by President Trump to lead the national coalition program for his reelection campaign. Her efforts resulted in a record-breaking level of support for Trump within minority communities. Her unique background and life experience equipped her to reach new communities and help grow the Republican party.

Born to a single mother who gave birth to her at the age of 15, Katrina grew up in extreme poverty. Her environment was rife with challenges and struggles. Determined to build a better life for herself and her young son, she worked while putting herself through school obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Dallas and went to work in the health care industry.

Katrina is also an entrepreneur who built her own public affairs and crisis consulting firm to help businesses, non-profits and conservative advocacy groups accomplish their goals. Her commitment to public service resulted in her appointment to healthcare and transportation boards by local governments. She also served on the Texas Lieutenant Governor's Advisory Board. Katrina’s efforts to increase civic engagement and bring more people into the political process was officially recognized by proclamation during the 83rd Texas Legislature.

Katrina is a Forney High School graduate. Her son attended Steadham elementary school and Schrade Middle School in Rowlett, Texas.

She lives in Rockwall, Texas.

My ties to Wyoming are her people. Those who live with a deep-seated commitment to principles of faith, family and community. People facing and making the hard choices, getting a solid education – in school and out, doing the hard work, building and growing businesses, and making opportunities to leave things better than we found them. And doing it all with unwavering integrity and honor.

I’m Kathy Russell, and I will be one of those legislators who honor Wyoming’s best and stay focused on what really matters.

I am wide awake to the importance of today’s decisions in setting the foundations of our futures. I have built businesses, been a teacher, and planned and monitored projects in the energy sector. I found ways to bridge gaps between business and bureaucracy to get things done. I know firsthand what’s needed to keep government and business in their lanes and enable our constitutional republic to thrive.

I’ve listened and learned from family members and friends who’ve instilled Wyoming values in me, and effectively worked out their civic duties in their communities. I have a proven record of effective leadership in political realms, including City Council, county and state Republican organizations, and many volunteer and faith-based organizations.

The foundation of our government is a mandate for self-governance, with a sole purpose being the protection of our individual rights. Service to our country begins with educating ourselves about the problems we face and the solutions that meet our standards and needs. Next is finding people who can resolve those problems. Then making informed ballot choices, always focused on our political health.

I’m a committed daughter of Wyoming. I will work with other legislators for transparent, just and effective government. I will lean on my problem-solving skills, the Wyoming principles I hold dear, and the knowledge, experience and wisdom I’ve gained from Wyoming family, friends and neighbors.

The issues we’re facing today demand that our guard is kept up. I will defend our values, liberties and rights so we and our children can live our best lives in freedom and prosperity.
